Have you met Angie? You would know if you did as you would fall instantly in love with her sweet warm smile and kind eyes. My mum and I love Angie so much and we often speak of her and her beautiful creations in our studio, In a nutshell, we have decided to adopt Angie permanently!
But enough about her lovability, let's talk the reason we are here, Angie's talent and our demand to make her an ambassador!
Angie has a beautiful light touch to her decorating and a wicked sense of humour in her social media posts with funny and relevant reels that always has us sharing.
If my memory serves me, I had the pleasure of officially meeting Angie, in person, in one of my workshops a few years ago at Cakers Warehouse. She was so sweet and keep to learn. And like most of us, very hard on herself and her skills. (can we all relate to this or what?)
From there, we crossed paths a few times at cake shows and Angie became an ambassador for Savvy's Cover Ups and was creating content for Lena and team. This is when we could really see Angie bloom more and more.
Fast forward to the cake shows in 2024 like Cake Bake and Sweets and Festival of Cake, and Lena joined our stands and said she was bringing Angie to demo. We watched a beautiful young lady really bloom in front of her audience and while we know Angie was worried and anxious about demonstrating, that all went away the moment she started working.
We were hooked! Here is a superstar in the making and pounced (firstly asking Lena if she was ok if we asked Angie to be an ambassador for us too) and Angie said yes!
Now I have a terrible confession to make, I asked Angie months ago and have been so smashed, I haven't had a chance to get this up and announce this beautiful girl, so Angie, I am so sorry and I owe you a huge cocktail at the next show for having patience with me! Love you girl!
So without further ado, I am very proud to welcome Angie to our Ambassador team! Please take a moment to read all about Angie and follow her on socials, I promise her content is awesome!

Tell us a little about you? Something you’ve never told anyone!
Before children, I worked as a commercial property valuer for over 12 years, valuing commercial office buildings, industrial warehouses and even landfill sites!
I am the proud mum of two kids and a fur baby. My husband is my biggest supporter. My favourite place in the world is Bora Bora, where hubby and I ventured to on our honeymoon (where I also swam with manta rays and sharks!) I’ve been to Vegas seven times; I’ve never ever gambled there but I love the shopping options! I used to teach hip hop, have a fear of spiders and my favourite animal is the sloth. (I had no idea about the hip hop! I am going to have to see this in action!!! and I am scared of spiders too!)
How did you first get started in the caking/baking industry? I always loved baking (cupcakes, slices, anything dessert) however I had never made a cake (unless you count a boxed packet mix cake?). I binged watched Cake Boss when I was pregnant and on strict bed rest, and always loved watching how everything came together. I baked my first cake for my daughters 2nd birthday, from scratch, after watching what seemed like thousands of YouTube videos, during that first COVID lockdown where you could only have 12 people in your home. I made everything from scratch, and I was so proud of the cake I created for her. It sparked my interest in cake decorating, and I wanted to keep doing more!
When did you begin your adventure in the caking and baking industry? After my daughter’s birthday cake, I fell in love with cake decorating. I continued to do very basic cakes for family and immediate friends; other people started asked me to do their cakes and I would always decline. Eventually, we moved into a new and bigger house, my kids started daycare, and I decided to turn my hobby into a business. In the beginning, I only offered cupcakes to customers; attempting a cake for a paying customer, irrespective if it was for a friend, family or a complete stranger, scared me! Eventually I started doing cakes and now I look back and wonder why I was so scared of doing them!
Are you a buttercream babe or a fondant Floozy? I work mostly with buttercream but do love to do an occasional fondant cake. I make a lot of my own toppers from fondant.
If you could start again, what would you change? Oufffft that a tough question! Every experience, every cake, cupcake or bake has taught me something valuable; everything has happened for a reason and made me the cake decorator I am today. If I could tell my beginner self something now, it would be to tell her that saying “no” is OK. Your business, your rules!
How did you come to be involved with the Moreish brand? I discovered Moreish Cakes very early in my cake decorating journey, when she co-hosted a Q&A with the Australian Cake Decorating Network, and without sounding like a stalker, I just loved everything about Monica! I’ve done a few of her classes, always loved her products and was lucky enough to be asked to demonstrate with her products at two cake shows in 2024. (love you girl! thank you for the kind words!)
Do you remember how you came to be an ambassador? Do you have a story to tell? I purchased some cakey goods from Moreish. The package got delivered, I opened the box, and sitting on the top of the pink tissue paper was a note asking me to be a brand ambassador. I gasped, screamed “OMG”, started crying (hubby and my daughter thought there was something genuinely wrong!) I have the note in my workspace; it’s a reminder of an amazing opportunity, or, just how much of a stalker of Monica’s I am! (hehe love this!)
What is your favorite product from our brand and why? I absolutely love More Cuppies, they're a staple and an absolute must have in any kitchen. I’ve been using them ever since they were released and never looked back. They are unique and come in so many beautiful colours.
If you had to recommend 3 products from our range, which would you tell newbies to buy and why? This is tough and I’m sorry, I had to choose four! Absolutely and categorically, More Cuppies. When I first started and was working my way through recipes, More Cuppies just worked; they never bleed and never peel away from the cupcake. They always produce a beautiful looking cupcake.
More Liners - Reusable Cake Tin Liners - definitely a must in any kitchen. They’re environmentally friendly and reusable; no more wastage with baking paper, no more tracing circles and cutting baking paper for your tins!
More Flexi Scrapers - I use these for so many things. Tidying up the sides of my cake, smoothing edges and working with fondant.
Loyal x Moreish Ruffle Set; three piping tips can give you six, different and beautiful piping looks. Whether you’re an absolute beginner piper, or advance decorator, they’re definitely a staple for your cake decorating collection.
How do you stay updated with trends and changes in the caking and baking industry? Social media! I am also a member of the Australian Cake Decorating Network, who often run online training and Q&A’s which help me upskill, meet new people and try new things!
What your fav trend to date? Buttercream florals – they truly are an art form!
What trend would you like to see end and why? Burn away cakes. For so many reasons. (awww come on hahaha who doesn't love an excuse to call the fire brigade? haha)
Do you cake/Bake/content create full time or have a supplement job elsewhere? I’m a full time mum - that’s a job right? (100%!!! Actually, 150% because you never have a moment off!)
What is your ultimate goal in this industry? To always enjoy myself, then it never feels like “work”. Never compare myself and never take for granted that I get to be a part of special celebrations; it truly is a privilege.
Which other cakers/bakers/creators do you look to for inspo? Anyone and everyone, no matter where they are in their baking journey. Everyone has something different to offer, has their own flair, and I love being apart of such an incredible and supportive community.
If you could have dinner with your caking hero, who would it be and why? Oh gosh, there are so many! I’d love to meet Bernadette Gee; I love her sense of humour and think she’s a vibe!
Do you have any advice for aspiring Brand Ambassadors? Always stay true to yourself, back yourself and never compare yourself. This industry and it’s people have so much support and love to offer to everyone. Being your authentic self shows and so long as you enjoy yourself, it never feels like work.
